Memphis-based freelance photojournalist Justin Fox Burks is a man in love with his town. His fascination with his city and its inhabitants is reflected in his body of work, which includes portraits of well known musicians like 8Ball & MJG, Arthur Lee as well as unsung heroes such as inner-city sign painter James "Brick" Brigance or juke joint musicians working to keep real music alive. In addition to his regular contributions to Memphis Magazine and Rhodes, his work has appeared in the London Independent, Garden & Gun, Paste, Mojo, and Wax Poetics. When not behind the camera, he’s trying out new vegetarian recipes on his wife or making and recording music with friends under the name Hometown Nobodies (www.hometownnobodies.com).
