Huge fan of Al Green's music...I just wished his church actually preached the gospel....

Not the music genre called "gospel," but the message that Jesus & the apostles preached. The message that calls us all to repent, or turn and abandon our sins and desperately seek the lordship of Christ. A message that leads us to cry over our sinful state, pleading with God to change our desires & passions...away from the sin that we all enjoy (in secret or in public) and towards a holy, just and worthy God. A message of real hope, in that if we're willing to hate everything we now love (sin, addictions, hobbies,family, friends, even our own life) **in comparison** to how much we thirst to know the living God, HE will purchase us with His blood. Away from being inslaved by sin & subject to God's holy & just wrath...which is coming soon, as every sin we've commited will need to be paid for...and instead be slaves of Christ, only seeking His honor & glory.

That message would truly honor God....that would be nice...
